Philip S. Brown grew up in Troutman, NC. When he was eight years old, he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Philip was called into the ministry at the age of 27. Following his call into the ministry, he attended Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute in Hendersonville, NC and graduated in 2009 with an Associate of Arts Degree in Religion and Church Ministries. He then attended North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Studies in 2010.
Philip was married to his wife, Kristy, on June 4, 2005. Kristy is a teacher at Silverdale Elementary School in Onslow County. Philip and Kristy are the proud owners of a five-year-old chocolate dachshund, Deacon.
Most recently, Philip interned at Mud Creek Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. Before attending Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, he served churches in Dallas, NC and Maiden, NC as a Student Pastor. He also served as a summer student intern in Kosovo with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Philip has led and been a part of numerous mission and service trips locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Philip is an avid Wake Forest Demon Deacon fan. He also enjoys automobile racing, cooking, fitness, gardening, music, and traveling. He is excited to serve Christ as well as the children, youth, and families of Swansboro and the surrounding communities.
Galatians 6:14 says, “As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
