The Evangelism/Outreach Ministry seeks to share the Gospel with individuals who need Jesus Christ and invites those who do not participate in a local church to take part in the ministries provided by Piney Grove Baptist. The GROW (God Rewards Our Work) Initiative is our primary vehicle for sharing Christ’s love with the church family and reaching out in His love to the surrounding community. Four GROW Teams which total over 40 volunteers meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month to write letters, make phone calls, complete visits, and offer prayer for God’s blessings upon upon our efforts and the upon people we seek to reach out to.

a. Sowing & Reaping (Galatians 6:7)
b. Every Member Involvement (1 Corinthians 12:4-5, 7)
c. It's Fun to be on a Mission with Jesus (Matthew 17:4)
d. Quality Time is Greater than Quantity Time (Colossians 4:5)
e: Reaching Out by Divine Appointment (Acts 8:26-38)
The Ministry Opportunities in GROW
Celebration (write letters/cards for special occasions)
Crisis (write letters/cards for those experiencing difficulty)
Absenteeism (write letters/cards; make phone calls and/or visit)
Prospect Followup (write letters/cards; make phone calls and/or visit)
Evangelism (send mail or distribute information to residents)
Prayer (you may pray while others complete the tasks above)
What to expect during GROW sessions:
a. Each session lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes
b. Each of the four teams will meet monthly in the Fellowship Hall to sign in, complete tasks, and
share reports.
