Matthew 14:1-12; Mark 6:14-29; Luke 9:7-9
        Can you count the number of lives in this passage which were damaged by one person’s passion for revenge? Beware of people who are determined to even the score with their perceived offenders. Usually, bitter people will attempt to inject their poison into everyone associated with them. Herodias, Herod’s wife, was not satisfied until she turned every person around her against John the Baptist. She manipulated them right into the midst of her own misery.   
        Do yourself a favor when someone with a grudge attempts to lure you into his or her winless game. Point those who seek vengeance to Jesus for His forgiveness and deliverance.
